Youth Counselor Community Based Services Per Diem Six bed shelter located in Brewster serving youth ages 12-17. Duties include but are not limited to: supervision of youth upon return from school, oversight of meal preparation as well as planning recreational activities with youth. Will work closely with Unit Supervisor. Flexibility to cover day, overnight and weekend shifts with occasional paid overtime. Kitchen Worker Brewster Campus $8.00/hr + Benefits Immediate opening. 5 days/wk, 40 hour week working Tuesday-Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday 6am-2pm. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prep work, maintain cleanliness of kitchen area, prepare/serve food for residents/staff. Clean pots/dishes and sweep/mop. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Case Manager/Social Worker Community Based Services Full-time Community Based Services, a program of Green Chimneys, is seeking a Social Worker/Case Manager for a full-time opportunity. This program works closely with local service providers to prevent out-of-home placement. This position is crisis oriented at times and requires frequent work in the field. The ideal candidate will be able to assist at-risk children and families in the community, work independently as well as collaboratively. Duties include but are not limited to: in home meetings with families on a consistent basis, accurate and timely reporting of progress, case planning and implementation of individualized strategies in order to create healthy environments for clients. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Special Education Teacher Brewster Campus Full-time Immediate opening. Must have a NYS teaching certificate in Secondary Science. An additional NYS Teaching certification in Special Education is preferred. Please reference Education when applying.
Occupational Therapy Supervisor Brewster Campus Full-time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assess and treat fine motor skills, gross motor skills, bi-manual coordination skills, visual motor integration skills and sensory integration of children within Green Chimneys School according to their IEP, be active member within clinical groups to meet the needs of each child. Provide ongoing training and in-services as warranted, supervise OTR/L's, COTA's and Fieldwork Level I and II interns as need dictates. Will be Fieldwork Coordinator with Universities/Colleges. Must have BS in Occupational Therapy; Masters preferred as well as minimum one-year experience, preferably with pediatrics. Please reference (OTS) in subject line.

Per Diem and 40 hrs/wk.
Responsible for the direct supervision and care of children ages six to twelve. This individual is the person to whom the residents look for affection, understanding, interest, structure and guidance. SHIFTS: 2:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.; 11 p.m. – 7 a.m.; weekdays and weekends, other shifts available. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training is required for all positions and will be provided at no cost. Must be at least 21 years of age.  Valid Driver’s License required. Associate's and/or Bachelor's required.
RN/LPN Brewster Campus Full-time Available shifts include 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. One year clinical experience in pediatric/psychiatric nursing preferred. Valid NYS nursing license required.
Lifeguard Clearpool Per-diem Provide safe swimming/boating environment for children. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist Waterfront Director in assessments/teaching, assist in preparing written reports of incidents, checking of float lines/buoys, checking of dock hazards and checking bottom daily, knows and enforces policies and procedures of Waterfront Safety Plan and rules and regulations. Must be 16 year of age or older, possess current Advanced Lifesaving/Basic Life Support of Professional Rescuer and CPR certificates. Must be able to demonstrate skill in rescue and emergency procedures specific to the aquatic area through drills during orientation and during sessions.
Youth Counselor David Hall (Brewster Campus) Full-time Small 14-bed Residential Treatment Facility located at Green Chimneys Brewster campus looking for individuals experienced in Direct Care/Human Services field and knowledgeable of adolescence and mental health problems. Must have valid driver's license. Must be 21 or older to apply.

Unit Supervisors and Assistant Unit Supervisors

Brewster Campus

$14.00/hr.
40 hrs/wk

Responsibilities include recruitment and retention of Youth Counselors within their assigned Unit, scheduling staff in order to assure that mandated coverage levels are met, training and orientation of Youth Counselors within their Unit to assure compliance with all internal and external policies and procedures. Assist in the development, implementation and participation in campus-wide training programs and ensure all staff under their supervision comply with all mandated training. Supervise staff and perform annual performance appraisals of assigned staff and meet with staff on a regular basis and prepare appropriate documentation. Act as role model - provide leadership. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Health Services or Human Services preferred. Will consider candidates enrolled in a degree-granting program. Minimum 4 years experience in a residential childcare setting. Must be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training (extensive training is provided) and have a valid NYS driver's license.

At our year-round NYC-based foster care service residence working with LGBTQ youth in a congregate foster care setting. Providing supervision to 25 residents ranging in age from 16-20 years. Facilitate a home-like living environment and follow program guidelines described in the resident's manual. Dependable and energetic. Available shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am. Must be 21 or older.

Therapeutic Intervention Specialist (Crisis Intervention) Brewster Campus
(Child Care)
40 hrs/wk. Behavior management support for the dorms. Experience in crisis intervention/counseling helpful. A clinical background preferred. Administrator position requires College Degree and supervisory experience. Monitor direct care services to ensure the safety and well being of all residents in all campus programs, and to intervene directly when corrective action is needed. Primary focus is child centered; to provide services that meet the children’s individual and group treatment needs. Valid driver’s license is required.

Lifeguards Brewster Campus Full-time (40 hrs/wk. and Per Diem For busy school and public programs. Mostly weekend work (per diem) or Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm for full time. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer required. Responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons/students by preventing and responding to emergencies. Other certifications required by local or state laws. Serve as role model, self-motivated, comply with all health & safety requirements. Pre-employment testing of lifeguard skills and knowledge.
Water Safety Instructor Brewster Campus Per diem Busy Public Program. Mostly weekend work. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Card required. Educate pool participants in swimming skills and water safety. Serve as role model, self-motivating, comply with all health and safety requirements.
