The perfect summer program for our youngest campers; Trailblazers is designed to introduce your child to new interests and making friends in a fun atmosphere. From arts & crafts to learning about farm animals, Trailblazers enjoy quintessential summer camp activities while making discoveries about themselves and the world around them!
As our campers grow, so too does their experience! Special activities for Blazers include overnights on our grounds complete with s’mores and outdoor adventure such as high and low ropes courses. Blazers not only enhance their activity-oriented and physical skills, they gain valuable interpersonal skills to help them become more responsible and independent!
Our maturing campers are the leaders of the pack! Trackers enjoy the core camp program while enjoying additional activities that speak to their age and interests, including advanced outdoor exploration, team-building experiences, and on-site overnights. The Trackers program excels in the fun and skill-building departments counselors ensure the teens stay on track as curious, energetic young people!
Our LIT program includes a balance of leadership training, interactions with younger campers, and also time to just be a camper. LITs will participate in an overnight every three weeks. One three-week session registration is required (session I or II).
Our eight-week program is designed for responsible teenagers who are interested in eventually working as camp counselors. The summer will be filled with leadership training, learning about working with children and having fun! A one-time fee covers participation for weeks 1-8. Participants are required to submit an application and interview to determine acceptance into program. No registration required until accepted into program.
With the completion of an elaborate new habitat built by Green Chimneys’ woodshop students, the Farm Science classroom was able to welcome Brownie into her new home. Brownie previously lived alone in her cage in the farm and wildlife office, but guinea pigs do best in larger environments. The new habitat allows her to live in a herd as she would in the wild, with many places to hide and ways to practice her skills. Brownie has always been a social creature, and she has taken over the guinea pig herd but is a very peaceful leader.
