Our Preschool program starts at age 3 and meets New York State academic curriculum standards along with creative and enriching activities such as arts & crafts, community service projects and nature study.
Bridge and Kindergarten programs provide full academic preparation and social-emotional development, in accordance with New York State academic curriculum standards, for children entering the school system.
School-Age Care features age-appropriate recreation activities, homework help, and group projects to engage young minds. Includes before and after school programs, as well as school holidays, vacations and weather-related closures.
Nature’s Nursery operates Monday through Friday and we are open on most school holidays and vacations*, snow days and early dismissals. The Nature’s Nursery school year begins the day after Labor Day.
Extended hours for the School-Age program apply to services during school district vacations, holidays, early dismissals and snow days. Available only by advance registration.
*All Nature’s Nursery Programs are closed on Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and during the week of Christmas.
With the completion of an elaborate new habitat built by Green Chimneys’ woodshop students, the Farm Science classroom was able to welcome Brownie into her new home. Brownie previously lived alone in her cage in the farm and wildlife office, but guinea pigs do best in larger environments. The new habitat allows her to live in a herd as she would in the wild, with many places to hide and ways to practice her skills. Brownie has always been a social creature, and she has taken over the guinea pig herd but is a very peaceful leader.
