Residential treatment at Green Chimneys is a unique, multi-faceted therapeutic program designed to give every child a chance to succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Green Chimneys offers a residential program as part of its accredited special education in a New York State 853 school.
Our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive structure and support to emotionally fragile boys and girls age 6-21.

Green Chimneys’ residential treatment program is located on the Brewster Campus only.
Sampson is a mixed-breed sheep that came to Green Chimneys when he was just a few weeks old. He was bottle-raised by the children and, as a result of their love and care, has become one of the most trusting and gentle sheep at the barnyard. Each spring, Sampson is sheared to keep him comfortable through the hot summer months, and the children sell yarn made from his wool at the Green Chimneys Country Store.
