Announcements

In an effort to support Green Chimneys employees through the continuing health concerns, we have compiled the following materials and online resources to provide easy access to information and support you may need. Below you will find agency health guidelines, resources for self care, and quick links to our insurance providers.
This page will continue to be updated to include any new information and resources sent to all employees. This is not intended to replace the Employee Handbook or other Green Chimneys policies, and important updates will be communicated by email and/or mail. If you have questions or need assistance related to your employment, please do not hesitate to contact your department director or email Donna Kessler at [email protected].
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and hard work.
We want all Green Chimneys staff to remain safe and healthy. Please continue to adhere to all recommended safety precautions at home and when you go out, and be familiar with our agency’s COVID-19 health guidelines and procedures outlined below and in the Green Chimneys COVID Policy.

With the completion of an elaborate new habitat built by Green Chimneys’ woodshop students, the Farm Science classroom was able to welcome Brownie into her new home. Brownie previously lived alone in her cage in the farm and wildlife office, but guinea pigs do best in larger environments. The new habitat allows her to live in a herd as she would in the wild, with many places to hide and ways to practice her skills. Brownie has always been a social creature, and she has taken over the guinea pig herd but is a very peaceful leader.
