COVID-19 Information for Employees
In an effort to support Green Chimneys employees during the current health crisis, we have compiled the following materials and online resources to provide easy access to information and support you may need. Below you will find agency health guidelines, resources for self care, and quick links to our insurance providers.
This page will be updated to include any new information and resources sent to all employees. This is not intended to replace the Employee Handbook or other Green Chimneys policies and we will continue to share important updates by email and/or mail. Green Chimneys Health Guidelines
We want all Green Chimneys staff to remain safe and healthy. Please continue to adhere to all recommended safety precautions at home and when you have to go out, and be familiar with Green Chimneys’ COVID-19 health guidelines and procedures outlined below and in the Staff Guidance Matrix. Face Mask Policy
All employees, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a face mask indoors when on campus, and under all circumstances when interacting with a student.
Please follow all related policy and protocol updates posted under Employee Communications. If you need a mask for work please speak to your supervisor. There may be some exceptions for particular tasks; please discuss such job responsibilities with your department director before making the decision on your own to not wear a mask.
Arriving to Campus
All employees must complete an online COVID health screening via the ezSCRN app or website before coming to campus or other Green Chimneys work location. (CT adult program staff are exempt.) Only essential staff who are scheduled to work are expected to come to campus. Other staff may only come following a pre-approved arrangement with their department director. Please follow all related policy and protocol updates posted under Employee Communications.
Staff must complete the screening each day they come to work at Green Chimneys; you should only come to work if you’ve received a successful result. If you have a temperature or your responses to the ezSCRN questions indicate you may be a health risk, you must notify your supervisor immediately to determine next steps.
Anyone who is found to have come to campus without this self-screening may be asked to leave campus. Anyone who is found to have come to campus with possible COVID symptoms or who develops possible COVID symptoms while working will be required to leave campus immediately, and must then speak with their supervisor/department director about what should be done next. Staff who do not have a smart phone, laptop or desktop on which the app can be accessed, must go to the Health Center to have their temperature taken and answer symptom-related questions, immediately upon arriving to campus and before proceeding to their work area.
Symptom Detection & Reporting
Please be sure to follow the symptom detection and reporting procedures as outlined by Green Chimneys. To ensure appropriate action regarding symptoms and/or potential exposure, please refer to the Staff Guidance Matrix below (click image for full view)
Testing and Contact Tracing will be conducted in accordance with the policies outlined by the Green Chimneys School Operating Plan. Please refer to Employee Communications for the most current information and policies for Green Chimneys staff.
