Nature’s Nursery has provided early education and school-age programs to community families for over 30 years. A sound curriculum, dynamic nature settings and caring staff create an engaging educational experience to support the most important years in a child’s growth and development.
The goal of Nature’s Nursery programs is to develop confident, motivated lifelong learners with strong academic skills, inquisitive attitudes, keen social intelligence, and critical, creative thinking abilities. A quality learning process encourages children in hands-on discovery and interaction with nature and animals at our farm and unique outdoor spaces. We celebrate each child’s strengths, respecting their individual needs and allowing them to explore in an accepting, nurturing environment.
Nature’s Nursery closely follows guidelines from state agencies and local health authorities to provide a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.

The newest addition to the Nature Room at Green Chimneys’ Clearpool campus is a blue-tongued skink. He was donated by a nature center, where he spent over ten years visiting schools and interacting in public programs. Students are fascinated, and sometimes a bit confused, by his unusual bright blue tongue. In the wild, blue in animals can signify poison and acts as a warning to potential predators, but skinks are not poisonous.
