Nature’s Nursery has provided early education and school-age programs to community families for over 30 years. A sound curriculum, dynamic nature settings and caring staff create an engaging educational experience to support the most important years in a child’s growth and development.
The goal of Nature’s Nursery programs is to develop confident, motivated lifelong learners with strong academic skills, inquisitive attitudes, keen social intelligence, and critical, creative thinking abilities. A quality learning process encourages children in hands-on discovery and interaction with nature and animals at our farm and unique outdoor spaces. We celebrate each child’s strengths, respecting their individual needs and allowing them to explore in an accepting, nurturing environment.
Our Preschool program meets New York State academic curriculum standards along with creative and enriching activities such as arts & crafts, community service projects and nature study. Before & After School programs feature age-appropriate recreation activities, as well as homework help and group projects to engage young minds.

The red-tailed boa, also known as the boa constrictor, is native to the trees of South America — but this one hails from Long Island, New York! He was born and raised in captivity for three years until his owner decided to donate him to the Green Chimneys Wildlife program. In the boa\’s specialized enclosure, students can observe his movements and behaviors and even assist with feeding him rats.
