The Sam and Myra Ross Farm & Wildlife Center, located on our Brewster Campus, is home to over 300 farm animals, horses and permanently injured or imprinted wildlife. The farm is supported by a dedicated team of animal experts and caretakers who provide the utmost in care for our diverse species.
Plans to reopen the Farm & Wildlife Center to the public are underway. Beginning June 11, 2022, we intend to welcome visitors for free, self-guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. Please check back here, or follow us on Facebook, for updates.
As a popular public attraction, the Farm & Wildlife Center hosts thousands of visitors for enjoyable and educational self-guided farm tours during weekend hours.
Meet Shelby! As a member of the Green Chimneys Dog Interaction Program, dogs like Shelby come to us from a partner shelter for socialization. The relationship between these dogs and our students is symbiotic: the dogs get lots of attention and exercise, while our students learn patience, responsibility, and empathy. Shelby has a special place in our hearts because she was the 100th dog to pass through the Dog Interaction Program, and was quickly adopted into her forever home.
