The Trauma-Informed Lens: Taking Care of Ourselves and the Children
Friday, November 9, 2018
9:00am - 2:00pm

Working with children affected by trauma is a challenging job that can take a toll on even the most experienced educator or clinician.
Join an interactive conference on trauma-informed care focused on the impact of the work on staff, and ways to support them through understanding the brain science behind trauma. Hear about the research on vicarious trauma taking place at LaSalle School, a therapeutic day and residential program in Albany, NY. Learn concrete techniques for self-care to take back to your school or agency.
This conference is designed for educators, school administrators, and direct care staff working with youth who have experienced trauma.
