Weekly support/information groups are available for Putnam County youth. Guided groups cover a variety of topics in an open forum for youth to learn from and discuss with each other. Groups run for 8 weeks to ensure continuity and support healthy growth and decision-making.
Activities to help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and self-esteem, create more fulfilling personal relationships, gain deeper insight and ways to develop compassion for yourself and others.
Structured academic support in an array of subjects for youth ages 10-14 who are struggling to maintain grades and keep up with classwork and/or homework.
Build real-world skills for future employment by learning to develop a resume, practicing interview skills, and participating in psycho-educational sessions that focus on confidence, communication, self-advocacy and professionalism to prepare for success in the workplace.
Comprehensive education on the risks of substance use, its potential impact on mental health, and how it can affect a developing mind and long-term mental health. Discussions include the relationship between substances and their effects on specific mood disorders, and co-occurring mental health issues.
Recommended for grades 7-12, or as guardians deem appropriate.
