I began as a Junior Counselor in 2014 when I was in high school, and this summer will be my 6th summer at camp.
I feel like I am part of a community with the goal of making sure all campers and staff have the best summer possible!
I think I am most known for helping my campers with whatever they need! If a camper is having a hard time, I’m always more than willing to step up to make sure they feel comfortable and at home at Green Chimneys.

Get to know Green Chimneys Summer Camps! For more than 40 years, Green Chimneys’ day camp has blended great camp traditions with dynamic outdoor experiences to create exciting and educational summers full of memories to last a lifetime. Green Chimneys Summer Camps recognize each child’s individuality and support their desire to discover the world, and who they are in it. This simple philosophy helps to create meaningful summer experiences that keep kids returning year after year. Choose from two beautiful locations in Putnam County, home to some of the most spectacular features of New York State’s Hudson Valley region:
Blossom is a 1-year-old Holstein cow, and she was born a freemartin. A freemartin calf is a common result of twin calves; the female twin absorbs genetic material from a male twin in utero, and after birth develops male traits and subsequently becomes sterile. Since Blossom can’t produce milk, the dairy farm where she was born asked Green Chimneys if we’d like to have her, and of course, we agreed! Blossom came to us around the same time as another calf named Alfie, and the two have grown up together while being cared for by staff and students alike.
