Green Chimneys started celebrating its 60th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 27, with a sold-out Founders' Day Diamond Anniversary Dinner. The event, which was held on the Brewster campus, raised more than $33,000, thanks to matching funds from the MCJ challenge.
Former students and staff were among those in the dining hall, which was magically transformed for a gourmet dinner prepared by chef A. Mark Kaplan, who himself just celebrated 25 years of service.
