Our Farm & Wildlife Center is home to over 300 farm animals, permanently injured or imprinted wildlife and horses. The main purpose for each animal’s presence is to thrive in the care at Green Chimneys and play a supportive role in educational and animal-assisted therapy for children with special needs. Green Chimneys Community-Based Services staff recently visited The Volz Auto Group’s Meadowland of Carmel location to receive a generous donation: a new van! Volz Auto Group has provided a fully equipped 2016 Dodge Caravan to replace the program’s previous vehicle, to be used for residents of Green Chimneys’ temporary youth shelter and teens participating in trips and activities at the Community Outreach Center in Brewster. Green Chimneys staff presented a thank you “note” from the kids to CEO Barbara Volz, who is also a Green Chimneys board member, and son and daughter Kenneth and Jennifer, who are part of the 44-year-old family business.

Thank you Volz Auto Group!
