Arbor House provides non-traditional counseling services to promote family communication and individual self-reliance. Counselors also assist in maintaining youth as positive contributors in their community. Youth who have been discharged from the shelter receive these services as aftercare. As part of this component, case managers visit schools and conduct classroom outreach and education through out the year, educating the students on services available for them or a friend.

houses two main grant programs:
The Safe Places After-School Program is designed for children and youth 7 to15 years old and promotes structured after school activities that focus on arts and crafts, homework assistance, community service projects and peer relationships through a positive youth development approach. The after school program is open Monday through Friday 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is open during most school vacations and during the summer.

The Street Outreach focuses on youth 14-20 years old and specifically targets youth who have been or are at risk of sexual exploitation or emotional, physical or sexual abuse and/or youth who are struggling with making good decisions. A positive youth development approach offers youth opportunities to make positive choices while accessing intervention services. Workers promote safe lifestyles and positive social interaction. The complete array of services offered:
- Crisis intervention
- Counseling/case management services
- Substance abuse assessments/counseling
- Sexual assault counseling
- Shelter
- Basic need/survival aid assistance
- Peer counseling
- Health education
- Advocacy
- Referral services.
The program operates a drop-in site on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or by appointment.

This peer support group operates at the Outreach Center. Youth-driven topics, which are both educational and preventive in nature, allow young people to learn from each other, and street youth are able to come to terms with their own issues in their own time. This open group meets every Thursday at 6:30pm at The Community Outreach Center.
