Green Chimneys recently played a special role in one couple’s wedding...
and no, not as a bridesmaid!
As Marlon Young (above left) and James Morgan (above right) planned their New York City nuptials, the couple designated donations to Green Chimneys in lieu of a traditional gift registry.
"James and I are truly blessed with great friends and wonderful families. We are fortunate to be where we are with our careers and personal lives that we do not need more material possessions,” said Marlon Young. “We wanted to give back to those that are in need, primarily children, and we wanted to focus on a charity whose mission is important to us - one that promotes a philosophy of dignity and worth for all living things. Green Chimneys met this criteria.”
Thus, a special online giving opportunity was born. Within a matter of a few clicks from the couple’s wedding website, guests and family members celebrated their commitment with generous gifts to Green Chimneys. The outpouring of support is amazing, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be included in this couple’s happy day.
