The Country Store
Down the street from our main campus, The Country Store is where you'll find organic foods, home grown fruits, vegetables, maple syrup, honey, flowers, and other products from local farms and vendors.

Farm and Wildlife Tours
Farm tours are very popular with school groups, scout troops, family groups, senior groups and children's birthday parties. We would love to customize our tours to cater to your group's special needs and interests. We frequently accommodate clients with wheelchair mobility, and can focus our tour content on topics of your particular interest.

 

Hillside Summer Camp
Hillside Summer Camp offers programs on over 160 acres of fields, forests and streams, with our indoor swimming pool and gym, farm and wildlife center featuring over 350 animals, riding arenas, sandy canoe launch along the East Branch of the Croton River, archery range, playground and pavilion.

 

Nature's Nursery
At Nature's Nursery, our mission is to help children with their social, physical and emotional growth to give them a solid foundation for present and future learning. Founded in 1980, Nature's Nursery is a program of Green Chimneys School, a not-for-profit educational corporation established in 1947. We offer a year-round school and camp
with programs for children through age 12.

 

Lifeguarding
Green Chimneys offers the American Red Cross 4-Day Lifeguard and Waterfront Training Course for participants 15 yrs old and over, including Injury Prevention and The Professional Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer, Caring for head, neck and back injuries in the pool or waterfront.

Swimming

Certified American Red Cross Learn to Swim classes for all ages are available on Saturdays and some weeknights. Public Swim is offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm  and Sunday mornings until Noon. Registration required; some fees apply.
