Did you know?
Our Farm & Wildlife Center is home to over 300 farm animals, permanently injured or imprinted wildlife and horses. The main purpose for each animal’s presence is to thrive in the care at Green Chimneys and play a supportive role in educational and animal-assisted therapy for children with special needs. By sponsoring an animal, you are directly supporting the daily care for our most popular teachers—our animals! Give a gift,

Hats off to longtime Green Chimneys friend and current board member Robert L. Vetere: not only did he recently receive a prestigious award, he also made sure Green Chimneys benefited!

This spring Bob, as president and CEO of The American Pet Products Association (APPA) and president of the Human Animal Bond Research Initiative (HABRI), received the Rolf C. Hagen Hall of Fame Award at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida. This honor was given for Bob’s outstanding and lasting contributions to the pet industry and included a $20,000 gift from APPA to a nonprofit of Bob’s choosing. Cue Green Chimneys.

Thank you Bob and APPA; we have benefited from your loyalty and support for many, many years. This generous gift will assist our nature-based education programs as well as The Sam and Myra Ross Institute at Green Chimneys.
