Our Learn to Swim program teaches aquatic skills and water safety to swimmers from 4 years old and up. We follow the American Red Cross curriculum and guidelines. All instructors are American Red Cross Certified.

American Red Cross Levels 1 to 4
Learn to Swim teaches people of varying ages and abilities how to swim skillfully and safely. Each level includes training in basic water safety in addition to aquatics and safety skills taught in a logical progression. The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in, on and around water. This program is 45 minutes per session. The 4 levels include:

  • Level 1: Introduction to water skills
  • Level 2: Fundamental aquatic skills
  • Level 3: Stroke development
  • Level 4: Stroke improvement

Pre-school Aquatics aim to promote the developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills by young children. Red Cross Pre-school Aquatics teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression through three levels of courses. This program is 30 minutes per session.

To receive a completion card for any given level, the participant must meet the requirements for that level. This includes demonstrating the completion requirement for all the skills in that particular level as well as performing the exit skills.

Swimmers must attend at least 6 of 8 classes.
