The Sam and Myra Ross Institute Nature-Based Internships

This dynamic and rewarding opportunity introduces interns to work with children, animals and nature. The Internship Program at The Sam and Myra Ross Institute is a unique immersion experience for individuals interested in exploring the human-animal bond and nature-based activities to benefit children with special needs.

The Institute Internship includes caring for animals and plants, assisting with special education farm classes, working closely with residential students, and training and practice in conducting animal-assisted and horticulture activities with our student population. Interns work alongside and under supervision of experienced Green Chimneys staff to provide meaningful and therapeutic activities to our children, and also support programming and events for the general public

Farm internships are full-time and 4 or 8 months in duration. Room and board plus a small stipend are provided. An Internship Certificate is awarded upon completion.
