Introducing our newest addition to the Green Chimneys family: an Ayrshire calf!
This boy was born just one week ago on a nearby dairy farm and has been the cause of much excitement on our Brewster campus. He joins our Farm & Wildlife Center which is home to nearly 300 farm animals, horses and permanently injured or imprinted wildlife.

As a core component of Green Chimneys programming for children with special needs, the main criteria for each animal’s presence are that they thrive in the care at Green Chimneys and play a supportive role in educational and therapy programs for children. Right now the calf’s bottle feedings and acclimation are being managed by our team of animal experts. As he matures, Green Chimneys School students will take an active role in providing wonderful TLC.
